Lodgewood by L'hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong

Lodgewood was newly opened when I visited on October 2013. Initially, I regretted about booking this place. First of all, we were greeted by this sight.

The street that we had to walk pass everyday (about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance to Mongkok station) is filled with hardware shops. Oh, the dirt. And when our taxi stopped inside the carpark (?) on the first day, the hotel staff was really unfriendly and unhelpful. We were stranded in the carpark for awhile before figuring out that we had to find the lift to get to the lobby.

Then, our mood lifted!

Hotel lobby

The hotel lobby was so clean and chic! I adore the white simple design and layout. Macbooks are available for use and wi-fi was stable. Coffee machines and light refreshments are free flow too.

The service we received from the front desk staff were worth commending. We had endless questions, ranging from our trip to Disneyland to breakfast place, and they did not hesitate to offer us help and suggestions.

We got the most basic room and it was really cram. Walking area was limited and most of the time, we had to climb on our beds when we have our two luggage opened on the floor.

After some exploring, we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of amenities squashed within that small amount of space!

Mini fridge and safe box

Plates, bowls, cups, blah blah

Microwave!
The bathroom is equipped with all necessary amenities and rainforest shower head. It takes a while to figure how to shut the curtains for the shower and the annoying thing is that the curtains are managed outside of the shower. The curtains is translucent when closed and some twisting and turning of the curtain rod to make it "solid".

Lodgewood did not disappoint me and the hotel staff had made us feel welcome. *thumbs up*
