Lunch and dinner can be easily settled at Changi City Point (walkable distance) or trying your luck for those eateries in the office buildings around. Most of them are closed on weekends but we managed to settle our lunch at the famous Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, serving decent peppery pork ribs soup at an acceptable price. As I had grown up eating herbal type of bak kut teh from Klang, Malaysia, I never develop a liking for Singapore style. (flash news: I had yet to try any comparable herbal bak kut teh in Singapore yet despite all the claims.)
There is an NTUC supermarket just next to the hotel, so you can get some snacks and drinks. I was surprised by the crowd there though.
We checked into our room which is quite spacious and completed with a bathtub (yay to bubble bath!). I love the personalized message on the TV.
We found a fallen (light?) object on the floor. So we told the front desk in case they put us liable and she got worried and asked if we were hurt. We were all fine, so we were set to go exploring the hotel i.e. the swimming pool. The pool is right next to the gym and both are empty the whole time we were there. The pool has a good view of the rooftop of other surrounding buildings. Picture of the pool is from the hotel website.
Breakfast was served at a small restaurant right at a hidden corner of the hotel. It was not buffet but rather, ordering from a limited menu. Food did not make an impression though.
Verdict - nothing impressive to warrant a stay here.
