Cape Panwa Hotel is located at the southern side of Phuket, away from all the hustles bustles and quite a distance from the town. We had rented a car from the airport so the distance was not that much of an issue for us. The road leading to the hotel has a few shops (including manicures, massages) along the street and the road is scarily steep. It was quite a challenge to drive.
The front desk was friendly, giving us recommendations and providing us with the addresses (for GPS). We got pleasantly upgraded to another suite (I came to realise that all the rooms are called a suite)! I did not enjoy walking on the balcony as it was really dusty and there isn't a view except for some trees, so to speak. There is a small walk-in wardrobe completed with dressing table. The TV is in the middle of the room and rotatable depending whether you want to watch it from the bed or the sofa.

The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the resort has their own private beach! We went to the beach in the morning and you can either walk the many steps way down or take a tram (?) that I don't know how it is operated up and down to the beach and resort. The beach was empty, peaceful and clean. It was the perfect place to relax!

Even though the resort was good, I think the location is way off. Given that Phuket is a place filled with resort, I'm sure you can get a resort up to par at a better location.
